English for Abroad 1:1 Lesson Terms and Policies

Most important things to know
1. Cancellations or rescheduling requests made less than 24 hours before class will count as one session credit used.
2. If you are running late, please text me. I will wait for 15 minutes before leaving the call.
3. Unused session credits expire at the end of your package completion period.
4. If I need to cancel, your credit will remain available and I will extend your package period if needed.
5. Replacement lesson times depend on availability and cannot always be guaranteed.
6. Packages and session credits are normally non refundable after lessons have begun. This is a quick summary. Please read the complete terms and policies below before purchasing your package.
1. Packages and completion periods
Packages include personalized 50 minute online lessons and a shared Notion notebook. Your package, number of sessions, and total price will be shown before payment. Packages are one time purchases with no subscription or automatic renewal.
1. A 4 session package must be completed within 5 weeks of the first lesson.
2. An 8 session package must be completed within 10 weeks of the first lesson.
3. A 12 session package must be completed within 15 weeks of the first lesson. You may book lessons once or twice a week, depending on availability. Choosing to attend twice a week does not change the number of sessions included or the package completion deadline. The completion period is the maximum amount of time available to use your sessions. All lessons must take place before your package expires. Student cancellations do not automatically extend the package, and any unused session credits expire at the end of the completion period.
2. Booking and availability
Lesson times are normally available to book up to 30 days in advance. Additional dates will become available as the calendar moves forward. You do not need to book your entire package at once. Purchasing a package does not reserve a recurring weekly lesson time. A lesson time is reserved only after your booking has been confirmed. If another student books your preferred time first, you will need to choose another available time. Please book in advance, especially if your availability is limited or you would like to take lessons twice a week. All bookings and replacement lessons depend on availability and must normally take place within your package completion period. A particular lesson time or multiple lessons in one week cannot be guaranteed.
3. Cancellations and rescheduling
If you need to cancel or reschedule a lesson, please notify me in writing through our usual WhatsApp or KakaoTalk chat at least 24 hours before the scheduled lesson. If you think you may need to cancel or move a lesson, please let me know as soon as possible, even if you are not certain yet. The sooner you tell me, the more likely it is that we can find another available time. An early message does not cancel or reschedule the lesson by itself. Please confirm your request at least 24 hours before the lesson. With at least 24 hours’ notice, your session credit will remain available to use within your package completion period. Cancellation or rescheduling requests made less than 24 hours before the lesson will count as one session credit used. Missed lessons without notice will also count as one session credit used. I understand that emergencies and unexpected situations can happen. If something serious prevents you from attending your lesson, please contact me as soon as possible so we can discuss the situation. Exceptions may be made depending on the circumstances, but cannot be guaranteed. For now, all cancellation and rescheduling requests must be sent through WhatsApp or KakaoTalk. I will let you know when you can begin submitting these requests through the dashboard.
4. Lateness and missed lessons
If you are running late, please text me! The lesson will still finish at the scheduled time as I usually have back-to-back classes. If you don’t show up, I will wait for 15 minutes. If you have not joined or contacted me within 15 minutes of the scheduled start time, I will leave the call and the session credit will be used.
5. If I need to cancel
If I need to cancel a lesson:
1. I will notify you as soon as possible.
2. Your session credit will remain available.
3. We will choose another available time.
4. I will extend your package period if needed so you do not lose the lesson. If I become unable to provide your remaining lessons and we cannot make another arrangement, I will refund the unused portion of your package.
6. Payments, refunds, and transfers
The price applies only to the package being purchased. Future packages will be sold at the prices available at the time of the future purchase. Packages and individual session credits are normally non refundable after lessons have begun. Late cancellations, missed lessons, and sessions that expire under these policies are not refunded.
7. Changes to these terms and policies
The version accepted at checkout applies to the package purchased. Any individual change affecting your current package must be agreed on in writing. Updated terms and policies may apply to future package purchases.

1. 패키지 및 수강 완료 기간

3. 취소 및 일정 변경
수업을 취소하거나 일정을 변경해야 하는 경우, 예정된 수업 시작 최소 24시간 전에 평소 사용하는 WhatsApp 또는 KakaoTalk 채팅을 통해 서면으로 알려 주세요. 수업을 취소하거나 변경해야 할 가능성이 있다면 아직 확실하지 않더라도 가능한 한 빨리 알려 주세요. 일찍 알려 주실수록 가능한 다른 시간을 찾을 가능성이 높아집니다. 미리 메시지를 보내는 것만으로 수업이 취소되거나 변경되는 것은 아닙니다. 수업 시작 최소 24시간 전에 요청을 확정해 주세요. 수업 시작 최소 24시간 전에 알려 주시면 해당 수업 크레딧은 패키지 수강 완료 기간 안에 다시 사용할 수 있습니다. 수업 시작 24시간 이내에 취소하거나 일정 변경을 요청하는 경우 해당 수업 크레딧은 사용 처리됩니다. 사전 연락 없이 수업에 참석하지 않는 경우에도 해당 수업 크레딧은 사용 처리됩니다. 긴급하거나 예상하지 못한 상황이 생길 수 있다는 점을 이해합니다. 심각한 상황으로 인해 수업에 참석할 수 없는 경우 가능한 한 빨리 연락해 주시면 상황에 대해 함께 이야기하겠습니다. 상황에 따라 예외가 적용될 수 있지만, 예외가 항상 보장되는 것은 아닙니다. 현재 모든 취소 및 일정 변경 요청은 WhatsApp 또는 KakaoTalk을 통해 보내 주세요. 추후 대시보드에서 요청을 제출할 수 있게 되면 안내해 드리겠습니다.
4. 지각 및 결석
수업에 늦는 경우 메시지를 보내 주세요. 보통 수업이 연달아 있기 때문에 늦게 입장하더라도 수업은 예정된 시간에 종료됩니다. 수업에 들어오지 않는 경우 예정된 시작 시간부터 15분 동안 기다립니다. 15분 이내에 입장하거나 연락하지 않으면 통화를 종료하며 해당 수업 크레딧은 사용 처리됩니다.
5. 선생님이 수업을 취소하는 경우
선생님이 수업을 취소해야 하는 경우:
1. 가능한 한 빨리 알려 드립니다.
2. 해당 수업 크레딧은 그대로 유지됩니다.
3. 가능한 다른 수업 시간을 함께 정합니다.
4. 수업을 잃지 않도록 필요한 경우 패키지 기간을 연장합니다. 남은 수업을 더 이상 제공할 수 없고 다른 방법으로 조정할 수도 없는 경우, 사용하지 않은 패키지 금액을 환불합니다.
6. 결제, 환불 및 양도
결제 금액은 현재 구매하는 패키지에만 적용됩니다. 이후 패키지는 해당 시점에 안내되는 가격으로 판매됩니다. 수업이 시작된 후에는 패키지와 개별 수업 크레딧이 원칙적으로 환불되지 않습니다. 늦은 취소, 결석 및 본 약관에 따라 만료된 수업은 환불되지 않습니다.
7. 약관 변경
결제 시 동의한 버전의 약관이 구매한 패키지에 적용됩니다. 현재 패키지에 영향을 주는 개별 변경 사항은 서면으로 합의해야 합니다. 업데이트된 약관은 향후 구매하는 패키지에 적용될 수 있습니다.
